A nationwide youth initiative conceived and organized by Advaita Ashrama in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. It is implemented in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Students in Classes 9–12 — Government Schools, Government-aided Schools, recognised Private Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and schools affiliated to recognised Education Boards.
No fee for Government Schools, Government-aided Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas — that track is fully sponsored by the Ministry of Culture. For students at recognised Private Schools, ₹100 per student applies, contributing towards the construction of Vedanta Bhavan.
Schools may compile student details and register in bulk in the prescribed spreadsheet format, or students may register individually through the registration link after obtaining school approval. Each school nominates one School Nodal Teacher who verifies all registrations.
Yes — a cut-off date is set for each state, and the communication docket sent to each school specifies it. Schools are given a programme window of about five to six weeks and may begin at any point that suits their schedule; results should be declared within one week of starting.
Mandatory: 'Vivekananda – His Call to the Nation' and 'Short Life of Swami Vivekananda', with vernacular equivalents. Recommended: 'Personality Development' and 'Thoughts of Power'. They are shared free of cost through the Jago Yuva, Jago Bharat section of the Advaita Ashrama website; a link and password are shared after registration. The material is not downloadable.
Short Videos/Reels and Drawing/Painting are the flagship school categories that progress to the State and then the National level. Essay Writing, Idea Pitch for India and Group Skit/Role Play are judged and recognized at the school level, with top entries shared with Advaita Ashrama for records and prizes.
A recommended standardized rubric covers Clarity of Message/Idea, Creativity & Originality, Relevance to Theme, Craft & Execution, Engagement & Impact, and Overall Presentation. Institutions may use their own rubric. Each institution evaluates its own participants and its decision is final.
Not before final results are announced. Any violation of the published social media policy may result in disqualification.
Yes — every registered participant receives a Joint Participation Certificate from Advaita Ashrama and the Ministry of Culture, subject to meeting participation requirements. Certificates and prizes are also awarded at School, State and National levels, and recognition extends to schools, districts and states.
Yes. School and/or parental consent is mandatory, and a signed consent form is required. No personal details of a child are shared publicly without consent. The school and/or parent is responsible for the content created by their participant.
