These terms govern how participating institutions register for and use the Jago Yuva, Jago Bharat platform. By registering, an institution accepts these terms on its own behalf and on behalf of its authorised representative.

Jago Yuva, Jago Bharat (the Programme) is a national youth initiative of Advaita Ashrama, Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math (“Advaita Ashrama”, “we”, “us”), organised in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). This platform, available at www.jyjb.in (the Platform), lets schools register their participating students, manage their roster, make any applicable contribution, and submit selected entries.
These Terms of Service (the Terms) form an agreement between Advaita Ashrama and the participating institution. By creating an account, registering a school, or otherwise using the Platform, the institution and the individual acting for it (the Coordinator) confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement, and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
The Programme is open to schools and to students in Classes 9–12. Registration is carried out entirely by the institution. Students do not register individually and do not pay individually.
Each school registers a single institutional account, administered by one Coordinator, who confirms they are authorised to act for the school. The institution is responsible for the accuracy of the information it provides, for keeping its roster up to date, and for all activity under its account.
A school may authorise a field operator or Platform administrator to create or administer its account on the school’s behalf. The school remains responsible for that authorisation, the accuracy of supplied information, and the consent warranties in these Terms. The Platform records the acting person with material school changes.
Because most participants are minors, the institution’s most important obligation concerns consent. Before adding any student to its roster, the institution must have informed the participating students and their parents or lawful guardians about the Programme and must hold their verifiable permission to share the student’s details for Programme coordination, judging, records, and — for submitted entries — showcasing and publication.

A participation contribution of ₹100 per participant applies to private (unaided) schools only. Government, government-aided, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other schools within the Ministry-sponsored track participate free of charge.
The amount is inclusive of any applicable taxes. Whether a fee applies, and the total payable, are computed by Advaita Ashrama on the server from the school’s funding type and participant count; amounts submitted by the browser are not trusted. Payments are collected through our payment gateway. Registration and reading-material access for a paying institution are confirmed once payment is verified. Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Participants (or their creators) retain ownership of their entries. As a condition of participation, and on the basis of the consent the institution warrants it holds, the institution grants — and procures the participant’s grant of — to Advaita Ashrama, together with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, adapt, translate, archive, and disseminate entries, in whole or in part, for educational, promotional, publication, documentation, and other Programme-related purposes, with due acknowledgement wherever appropriate.
Depending on the activity, an entry is submitted either as a link to an externally hosted file or as a direct file upload stored with our object-storage provider; some activities are link-only. Where an entry is a link, the institution is responsible for keeping it accessible for judging and records. The institution confirms that each entry is the participant’s original work, that it holds the necessary permissions for any third-party material it contains, and that sharing the entry does not infringe anyone’s rights.
Each institution evaluates its own participants using the recommended rubric or its own equivalent. The institution’s evaluation decision is final and not subject to appeal. Selected entries in the flagship categories may progress to State and National levels for further review.
Every registered participant who meets the participation requirements receives a Joint Participation Certificate from Advaita Ashrama and the Ministry of Culture. Prizes and any recognition beyond the participation certificate are awarded at the discretion of the organisers and are subject to the Programme’s requirements; nothing in these Terms guarantees any prize or award.
The Platform is provided for a single Programme cycle. We may update, suspend, or withdraw features, and may set or change Programme dates and deadlines, which are communicated through the Platform or the docket sent to schools. We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may suspend or remove an institution’s account, or an entry, if the institution breaches these Terms or the warranties it gives — in particular a failure of parental/guardian consent — or where an account is used for unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, false information, impersonation, abuse, or activity that threatens the Platform’s security or the safety of participants. Where practicable we give notice and an opportunity to correct the problem first; for serious cases we may act immediately.
On removal, the institution’s data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy: removal detaches the login and, by default, preserves the roster, and the institution can ask us to correct or erase personal data. What happens to any contribution already paid is decided case by case at the organisers’ discretion, consistent with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Advaita Ashrama is not responsible for an institution’s failure to obtain or maintain the parental/guardian consent it warrants, for the content of entries, or for loss arising from inaccurate information supplied by an institution.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Advaita Ashrama’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Programme or the Platform will not exceed the total participation contribution the institution paid to the Programme in the current cycle. Advaita Ashrama will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, goodwill, or anticipated benefit, however arising. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
The institution agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Advaita Ashrama and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) against claims, losses, and costs arising from the institution’s breach of these Terms or of the warranties it gives — in particular its warranty that it holds verifiable parental/guardian consent for each student it adds and for each entry it submits.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and its “Last updated” date are always shown on this page. Continued use of the Platform after a change means the institution accepts the updated Terms.
